The Hamptons PRIDE Monument at Wainscott Green
Thank you for your interest in the future Hamptons PRIDE Monument at Wainscott Green in East Hampton, NY! Enjoy these early renderings of this unique, world-class outdoor social space and historical marker honoring the East End’s LGBTQ+ people and allies.
The Monument will rise in the heart of “The Miracle Mile,” a stretch of Montauk Highway in Wainscott where gay-owned and -friendly clubs, bars, and restaurants—what many thought of as “homes”—flourished during the second half of the 20th century. On the very footprint of the dance floor of the last of those clubs, the monument will create a beautiful new meeting space where the next generation of LGBTQ+ people and allies can come together, connecting past, present, and future. In doing so, the Monument will create a new history of its own—ours and yours.
Please check back soon for updates as we prepare to break ground this year!

Hamptons Pride, Inc. is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) public charity that celebrates and commemorates LGBTQ+ people and allies on the East End of Long Island. The organization’s founding goal is the creation of an historical marker and outdoor social area on the footprint of The Swamp (the last and longest-running gay club in the Hamptons) in what is now Wainscott Green, a park in the Town of East Hampton. Hamptons Pride’s free services, including the annual Hamptons Pride Parade on the first Saturday of June in East Hampton Village, are made possible by the generosity of foundations, businesses, and individuals like you. Thank you!
