Join us at the First Presbyterian Church in East Hampton the weekend after Thanksgiving for the first local display of Quilts from the National AIDS Memorial since 1990. Over 100 names will be represented, including those of local loved ones. A weekend of programs features a screening of the Oscar-winning documentary Common Threads (with discussion and complimentary sandwiches afterward), a quilt making project, and a culminating event with speakers, reflections, and a calling of the names ceremony at 3PM on Sunday, Dec 1, World AIDS Day. Golden Pear Cafe is sponsoring the afternoon displays with baked goods and water, and warm cider is provided by Hamptons Pride. All is free, family-friendly, and open to the public.
